What changes when they’re lost.

When the pet or tag is marked lost, the notice, available instructions, and “I FOUND THIS PET” button appear. An ordinary scan keeps the profile and allowed contact options.

Opening the page is different from submitting a report. The form lets a finder share a message, a location, and optional contact details.

What does a finder see when they scan my pet's tag?

When someone scans your pet's tag, they see your pet's recovery page. You control which contact details appear there: phone, email, city, state, and emergency contacts each have their own privacy setting in your account. Emergency contact information appears only if you've added it, and only if its visibility is on. You can change any of these at any time from your pet's settings. The profile can also include a photo, breed, identifying details, owner-provided instructions and public medical alerts. The saved home-address field and full medical history are not shown. Check public notes and photos for details you choose to share.
